A cidade de Ponta Grossa receberá, nos dias 5 e 6 de abril, cerca de 500 pilotos de 19 países que disputarão a etapa de abertura do Campeonato Brasileiro de Motocross 2025, na Pista Municipal, localizada nos fundos do Centro Agropecuário.
O evento é realizado pela Confederação Brasileira de Motociclismo (CBM), em parceria com a Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa, por meio da Secretaria Municipal de Esportes, com o apoio das Secretarias Municipais de Serviços Públicos, Agricultura e Meio Ambiente.
A expectativa para este ano é que aproximadamente 45 mil pessoas prestigiem o evento, que é considerado o maior do Brasil e o segundo maior do mundo na modalidade. A entrada será mediante a doação de 2 kg de alimento não perecível ou uma caixa de bombom por dia de evento, garantindo acesso às arquibancadas próximas da pista. Ingressos para as áreas de box e camarote serão comercializados.
Em 2024, a etapa realizada em Ponta Grossa reuniu mais de 40 mil espectadores e arrecadou 11 toneladas de alimentos, que foram destinados à Fundação de Assistência Social de Ponta Grossa, responsável pela arrecadação também nesta edição.
