A taxa de desemprego no Brasil caiu para 7,7% no terceiro trimestre deste ano. No segundo trimestre, o índice era 8% e no terceiro trimestre do ano passado, 8,7%. Os dados são da Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílios (Pnad) Contínua, divulgada nesta terça-feira (31), no Rio de Janeiro, pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE).
É o menor nível de desemprego desde o último trimestre de 2014 (6,6%). A população desempregada ficou em 8,3 milhões no terceiro trimestre deste ano, 3,8% abaixo do trimestre anterior e 12,1% a menos do que o terceiro trimestre de 2022.
Já a população ocupada foi de 99,8 milhões, o que representou uma alta de 0,9% em relação ao trimestre anterior e 0,6% na comparação com o terceiro trimestre do ano passado. É também o maior contingente da série histórica, iniciada em 2012.
