A partir desta quinta-feira (2), entra em vigor o calendário do segundo semestre do programa Feira Verde, promovido pela Secretaria Municipal de Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento. Com números expressivos de atendimento à população, o programa se destaca por sua contribuição para o meio ambiente e para o bem-estar da comunidade. Desde o início, foram registrados mais de 125 mil atendimentos em 209 pontos de coleta.
Durante esse período, foram distribuídas mais de mil toneladas de hortifrútis e aproximadamente 7,5 mil vale-gás. Um dado relevante é a arrecadação total de 3.950 toneladas de materiais recicláveis. O Feira Verde apresenta um aumento significativo nos números, com um incremento de 47% nos atendimentos, 84% a mais na distribuição de hortifrútis e um acréscimo de 41% na coleta de materiais recicláveis. Cada três quilos de materiais recicláveis ou quatro pneus inservíveis dão direito a trocar por um quilo de alimento.
Além da troca por alimentos, o programa oferece a possibilidade de obtenção do Vale-Gás, no qual a cada 20 kg de materiais recicláveis entregues, as famílias cadastradas no Programa Feira Verde podem obter o benefício. O secretário municipal de Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento, Izaltino Cordeiro, enfatiza a importância do programa, que não apenas promove a sustentabilidade, mas também auxilia as famílias de baixa renda na obtenção de alimentos e benefícios essenciais.
