A decisão veio após a plataforma, de propriedade de Elon Musk, quitar multas no valor de R$ 28,3 milhões, referentes ao descumprimento de diversas ordens judiciais. A Procuradoria-Geral da República (PGR) também se manifestou favorável à liberação.

“Decreto o término da suspensão e autorizo o imediato retorno das atividades do X Brasil Internet Ltda. em território nacional e determino à Anatel que adote as providências necessárias para efetivação da medida, comunicando-se esta Suprema Corte, no prazo de 24 horas”, afirmou Moraes em seu despacho.

O X estava bloqueado desde o dia 30 de agosto, por não ter mantido uma representação legal no país e por desobedecer decisões judiciais. Desde então, a empresa passou a colaborar com as autoridades brasileiras, bloqueando perfis e nomeando Rachel de Oliveira Villa Nova como representante legal no Brasil.

O pagamento das multas, inicialmente depositado de forma errada na Caixa Econômica Federal, foi corrigido nesta segunda-feira (7), com a transferência para o Banco do Brasil. Com todas as condições atendidas, Moraes liberou o funcionamento da plataforma, e agora o retorno do X aos usuários depende apenas de ajustes técnicos das operadoras de internet.
