Por volta das 03 horas da madrugada deste sábado (21), um caminhão-tanque, carregado com óleo vegetal, pegou fogo no quilômetro 531 da BR-376, em Palmeira, região dos Campos Gerais.
Segundo a Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF), a carreta seguia de Curitiba para Sabaudia, município localizado no norte central paranaense, quando apresentou um possível problema mecânico nos eixos e o incêndio começou. Ao perceber o fogo o condutor desatrelou o compartimento de carga e tentou apagar com uso do extintor, mas sem êxito.
Equipes da PRF, Corpo de Bombeiros e Departamento de Estradas de Rodagem (DER), compareceram no local. A rodovia teve que ser totalmente interditada para o trabalho de combate ao fogo. A interdição durou pro cerca de 1 hora, sendo liberado uma faixa por volta das 04h15.
O condutor não se feriu e a carreta permaneceu no local para remoção agora pela manhã.
