Contudo, na terceira e última volta, a skatista paulista brilhou, conseguindo a sua melhor nota na competição, 89,14, superando até mesmo a maior nota da fase classificatória, que foi 88,07 da japonesa Cocona Hiraki.
O pódio da competição foi dominado por jovens atletas. A australiana Arisa Trew, de 14 anos, conquistou o ouro com a nota 93,18, a mais alta do dia. A prata ficou com a japonesa Cocona Hiraki, de 15 anos, que obteve 92,63 pontos. O bronze foi para a britânica Sky Brown, de 16 anos, que registrou 92,31 pontos. Hiraki e Brown repetiram suas posições no pódio, como na Olimpíada de Tóquio em 2021.
Dora Varella, de 23 anos e natural de São Paulo, é bicampeã brasileira nos STU (2020 e 2021) e atualmente ocupa a 9ª posição no ranking mundial. Essa foi a segunda final olímpica da paulista, que nos Jogos de Tóquio 2021 terminou em sétimo lugar. As competições de skate continuam nesta quarta-feira (07) com as provas do park masculino. As eliminatórias começam às 7h30, e a final está marcada para as 12h30, com três brasileiros na disputa: Augusto Akio, Luigi Cini e Pedro Barros, que conquistou a prata na última Olimpíada.
