O governo estadual, por enquanto, não acredita que os incêndios estejam sendo orquestrados de forma coordenada. As investigações estão a cargo da Polícia Civil e da Polícia Federal, que abriram dois inquéritos para apurar as causas das queimadas.
No domingo, a ministra do Meio Ambiente, Marina Silva, classificou os incêndios no interior de São Paulo como atípicos e destacou a necessidade de uma investigação aprofundada. Ela confirmou que a Polícia Federal está conduzindo investigações sobre os incêndios no estado.
O governador Tarcísio também destacou que as Forças Armadas permanecem em ação junto com o Corpo de Bombeiros para realizar trabalhos preventivos em 48 municípios ainda em alerta. Segundo Tarcísio, a combinação de estiagem prolongada, altas temperaturas e ventos fortes foi crucial para o agravamento dos incêndios. “A estiagem severa se estendeu por um longo período e a combinação de alta temperatura, ventos intensos e baixa umidade relativa do ar criou uma situação extremamente propensa a ignições”, explicou.
