Um homem de 72 anos foi preso em flagrante pelo crime de maus tratos a animais, no bairro de Oficinas, em Ponta Grossa. O caso aconteceu no sábado (02). O idoso foi encaminhado para a 13ª Subdivisão Policial (13ª SDP).
Em nota, a Guarda Civil Municipal (GCM) relatou que a equipe GAMA (Grupamento de Atendimento aos Maus-Tratos Animais) teve acesso ao interior do terreno e se deparou com quatro cães em situação precária. Um deles, inclusive, estava morto.
A equipe solicitou a presença do médico veterinário da Secretaria Municipal de Meio Ambiente, que certificou os animais haviam sofrido maus tratos. Após a prisão decretada, o tutor dos cães, um homem de 72 anos, foi levado
ao presídio Hildebrando de Souza. Os animais sobreviventes foram levados ao Centro de Referência para Animais em Risco (CRAR).
