Nesta quinta-feira (21), a vacina contra dengue foi incorporada no Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS). O Ministério da Saúde traz que o Brasil é o primeiro país a oferecer o imunizante no sistema público. A definição das estratégias de distribuição da vacina devem ocorrer nas primeiras semanas de janeiro de 2024, e segundo o laboratório que fabrica a vacina, a previsão é que sejam entregues 5,082 milhões de doses no ano que vem, entre os meses de fevereiro e novembro.
A estratégia para utilização do quantitativo de vacinas será definida pelo Programa Nacional de Imunizações (PNI) e pela Câmara Técnica de Assessoramento em Imunização (CTAI), os quais também estipularão o público alvo prioritário e regiões com maior incidência da doença
Chamada de Qdenga, a vacina pode ser gratuita, mas não é disponibilizada em larga escala neste primeiro momento e será focada em público e regiões prioritárias. A vacina foi analisada e aprovada pela Comissão Nacional de Incorporações de Tecnologias no SUS (Conitec).
“O Ministério da Saúde avaliou a relação custo-benefício e a questão do acesso, já que em um país como o Brasil é preciso ter uma quantidade de vacinas adequada para o tamanho da nossa população. A partir do parecer favorável da Conitec, seremos o primeiro país a dar o acesso público a essa vacina, como um imunizante do SUS”, disse a ministra da Saúde, Nísia Trindade.
Segundo ainda Trindade, as priorizações da vacina são de acordo com a limitação da empresa Takeda e a quantidade de vacinas: “Até o início do ano, faremos a definição dos públicos alvo levando em consideração a limitação da empresa Takeda do número de vacinas disponíveis. Faremos priorizações”, disse.
O esquema vacinal é composto por duas doses e, segundo a na Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (Anvisa), a indicação para prevenção de dengue causada por qualquer sorotipo do vírus e indicada para todas as pessoas de 4 a 60 anos de idade.
