O Mirassol definiu seu novo comandante para a disputa da Série A do Campeonato Brasileiro. O clube paulista anunciou, nesta sexta-feira, a contratação do técnico Rafael Guanaes, de 43 anos, que chega para substituir Eduardo Barroca, demitido no final de fevereiro. Desde então, a equipe vinha sendo comandada de forma interina por Ivan Baitello.
Rafael Guanaes, que estava livre no mercado desde o início de março, após sua passagem pelo Atlético Goianiense, chega com o desafio de conduzir o Leão da Alta Araraquarense na elite do futebol nacional. No Atlético-GO, o treinador teve uma passagem curta, com 13 partidas à frente do time, conquistando cinco vitórias, seis empates e duas derrotas.
Este será o primeiro trabalho de Guanaes na Série A do Campeonato Brasileiro. Antes de sua breve experiência no Dragão, ele passou por clubes como Votuporanguense, Athletico Paranaense (time B), Sampaio Corrêa, Novorizontino e Operário Ferroviário, acumulando experiência em diversas divisões do futebol brasileiro.
O Mirassol agora aposta em Rafael Guanaes para ajudar a equipe a conquistar bons resultados na competição, em uma temporada histórica para o clube, que estreia na primeira divisão do Campeonato Brasileiro.
