Pastor Moisés Faria (MDB) foi confirmado como vice de Elizabeth Silveira Schmidt (União) na candidatura à Prefeitura Municipal de Ponta Grossa. O anúncio ocorreu na noite desta segunda-feira (5), durante a convenção partidária do Movimento Democrático Brasileiro (MDB). O vereador Julio Küller também estava sendo cogitado para o posto de vice-prefeito.
O evento, realizado na Câmara Municipal de Ponta Grossa (CMPG), contou com a presença de diversas lideranças e apoiadores dos candidatos. Elizabeth, que busca a reeleição, teve sua candidatura confirmada no último domingo (4) com a presença do senador Sergio Moro (União).
Moisés Faria é pastor titular da Igreja do Evangelho Quadrangular de Olarias, em Ponta Grossa, desde 2004. Ele também é professor de Capelania pela Florida Leadership and Ministry University. Na política, foi candidato a vereador em 2008 e 2012, além de ter sido eleito vereador suplente em 2009. Faria é bacharel em Teologia e estudante de Gestão de Recursos Humanos. Durante o evento, Elizabeth afirmou: “nós temos que vencer quem quer o atraso de Ponta Grossa, vencer a mentira, a traição e a velha política”.
As eleições deste ano estão marcadas para o dia 6 de outubro. Caso haja necessidade de um segundo turno, ele ocorrerá no dia 27 de outubro. Além das prefeituras, serão eleitos os novos vereadores das Câmaras Municipais.
