A corrida eleitoral em Ponta Grossa sofreu uma mudança, com o cancelamento do registro de oito candidatos a vereador pela Justiça Eleitoral. As informações, disponibilizadas pelo Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE), indicam que esses postulantes não estão aptos a concorrer nas próximas eleições. Com as eleições municipais marcadas para o dia 6 de outubro, a cidade se prepara para definir os 19 novos vereadores em um único turno, já que não haverá segundo turno para essa função.
Os candidatos cancelados pertencem aos partidos PSD, Avante, PL, Solidariedade, DC, Novo, PDT e PRD. Entre eles, dois já optaram por renunciar às suas candidaturas: Keverson Dutra (Novo) e Joaquim (DC).
Além disso, outros três candidatos enfrentam complicações relacionadas à regularização de sua situação eleitoral: Ana Samara (Avante), Ivan do Lava-Car (Solidariedade) e Professora Noeli (PDT). Outros três estão considerados inelegíveis pelo TSE: Adriano Telles (PSD), Sutil (PRD) e o ex-vereador George (PL).
Para os cargos majoritários, não houve nenhum registro inapto.
Região
Em Castro, duas candidaturas foram indeferidas. Gaúcho Lima e Silmara da Banca, ambos da Federação PSDB Cidadania , mas do Cidadania, tiveram seus registros rejeitados. Gaúcho Lima enfrentou um problema relacionado à quitação eleitoral. Silmara da Banca foi impedida devido à ausência de condição de elegibilidade.
Em Carambeí, dois também tiveram suas candidaturas indeferidas. Tiago Ianke (PL), ficou inapto por ausência de condição de elegibilidade. João Rocha, da Federação PSDB Cidadania, teve sua candidatura rejeitada, devido à ausência de quitação eleitoral.
Em Tibagi, assim como Castro e Carambeí dois candidatos optaram por renunciar. Silvio (Podemos), e George da Funerária, do União, decidiram retirar suas candidaturas.
