Está em tramitação no Senado um projeto de lei que torna mais simples e rápido o cancelamento de contratos com operadoras de telefonia e internet. Esse projeto (PL 4.855/2024) exige que as prestadoras de serviços de telecomunicações ofereçam, nas suas páginas na internet, a opção de rescisão de serviços contratados.
O autor do projeto é o senador Styvenson Valentim (Podemos-RN). A matéria está em análise na Comissão de Comunicação e Direito Digital (CCDD).
“Os consumidores encontram obstáculos para cancelar esses serviços devido a excessos burocráticos e à necessidade de contato com centrais de atendimento. Tais práticas contrariam os princípios do Código de Defesa do Consumidor (CDC), causam insatisfação e comprometem a reputação das empresas de telecomunicações”, argumenta Styvenson.
A proposta prevê que os pedidos de rescisão a serem feitos internet (nas páginas das operadoras) serão processados automaticamente e terão efeitos imediatos. O texto também proíbe que sejam feitas cobranças após o pedido de cancelamento.
“A medida alinha-se aos avanços tecnológicos e às demandas sociais por maior independência nas relações de consumo. Isso favorece a modernização do setor e estabelece um equilíbrio contratual mais justo”, afirma o senador.
