O corpo de Lívia tinha um curto de 5 cm na região genital. O médico que atendeu a jovem informou aos policiais que não era possível dizer o que havia causado a laceração.

Durante o  depoimento, o jogador afirmou que os dois estavam tendo relações sexuais no momento em que a jovem começou a passar mal. Ao perceber a situação ele acionou o Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu). No pronto socorro, a jovem sofreu quatro paradas cardíacas e morreu. O corpo foi encaminhado ao Instituto Médico Legal (IML) para perícia.
