O SBT se pronunciou nesta quarta-feira (17), após surgirem informações sobre uma possível internação de Silvio Santos, de 93 anos. De acordo com a Folha de São Paulo, o dono da emissora supostamente estaria no Hospital Albert Einstein, em São Paulo, desde a noite dessa terça-feira (16) após ter recebido o diagnóstico de H1N1.
De acordo com jornal, uma fonte anônima informou que ele está internado sem previsão de alta. Silvio ainda passará por uma série de exames solicitados pela equipe médica pela “idade avançada”.
Em nota, a emissora destacou que informação a sobre internação não procede. Ele está no Brasil e bem de saúde. O SBT também destacou que está desmentindo boatos em contato com a imprensa. Silvio Santos está afastado da TV desde setembro de 2022. SBT nunca divulgou uma previsão de retorno.

A filha mais velha do empresário, Cíntia Abravanel, de 61 anos, falou sobre o desejo do pai e atualizou sobre como o dono do canal tem passado o tempo desde que deixou as filhas comandarem a emissora.
Em entrevista ao F5, da Folha de São Paulo, Cíntia contou que o desejo de Silvio de voltar à emissora é passageiro. “O meu pai está ótimo. Às vezes ele fala que vai voltar a trabalhar, outras não. Diz que está com preguiça e ele pode ter preguiça”, disse.
Ela falou sobre as esperanças do público de vê-lo novamente na emissora. “O que mais me preocupa é a expectativa do público e a saudades das pessoas de um Silvio Santos que não existe mais. Ele é um senhor de 94 anos! Não tem mais aquele pique e aquela disposição. Acho que ele merece descansar”, ressaltou.
Segundo Cíntia, o pai deve decidir se um dia quiser voltar para o SBT. “Ele passou o bastão para a Patrícia, deu o programa para ela fazer do jeito dela, com a cara dela. O mesmo fez com todas as meninas e é isso. Se um dia ele quiser voltar, ele volta”, apontou. No entanto, Patricia Abravanel assumiu o posto do apresentador na principal atração dos domingos da emissora.
