O distrito do Socavão recebe 350 atletas neste domingo (23) para o Desafio MTB e Corrida, promovido pela Secretaria Municipal de Esportes. O evento teve inscrições totalmente gratuitas para moradores de Castro, que receberam o kit atleta durante a semana, com camiseta, garrafinha de água, uma barra de cereal e o chip eletrônico na numeração de peito.
O Desafio terá concentração e abertura às 6 horas e largadas a partir das 7 horas para corrida, 9 e 9h10 para as provas de bicicleta, na rua em frente ao Cras. Serão 200 atletas na corrida de 5 quilômetros e 150 nas provas de Mountain Bike, que terão percursos de 20 e 40 quilômetros na região do distrito.
“Levar um evento desse porte para o interior é uma realização para nós. Queremos cada vez mais dar oportunidade para que todos os castrenses tenham opções de práticas saudáveis. Além disso, a corrida e o desafio destacam as belezas naturais do Socavão e estimulam o turismo, pois teremos atletas de todos os cantos do município e esperamos ainda um grande público para assistir ao evento”, afirma Cristiano Meira, secretário municipal de Esporte e Juventude.
Ele destaca ainda que as competições incluem praticantes experientes e iniciantes nos esportes. A premiação será de troféus e medalhas em todas as categorias, mas todos os inscritos recebem medalha de participação, independentemente da posição de chegada.
Categorias
Serão três provas: Corrida de Rua com percurso de 5 quilômetros, Mountain Bike Light, com percurso de 20 quilômetros, e, no Mountain Bike Sport, o trajeto terá 40 quilômetros. Todas as provas serão divididas em cinco categorias, tanto no feminino como no masculino: de 14 a 29 anos, 30 a 39 anos, 40 a 49 anos, 50 a59 anos e acima de 60 anos.
Receberão troféus, tanto no masculino como no feminino, os cinco primeiros colocados gerais de cada prova e os cinco primeiros colocados por faixa etária em de cada prova.
