Um idoso, de 79 anos, morreu após ser atacado por um enxame de abelhas em um assentamento rural em Eunápolis, na Costa do Descobrimento. O fato ocorreu na tarde da última terça-feira (13) no local, que fica nas proximidades da BR-101.
A vítima identificada como José André Pereira fazia uma vistoria em uma cerca, quando começou a ser picado pelas abelhas. Na tentativa de se proteger, o idoso acabou caindo próximo a um córrego. O neto dele, que o acompanhava, também foi atingido pelas abelhas, mas conseguiu sair do local e procurou ajuda na vizinhança.
Equipes dos bombeiros e do Samu foram acionados, mas ao chegar no local o agricultor não tinha mais sinais de vida. O idoso residia no local junto com a filha, neto e genro. Ao final, o corpo foi levado para o Departamento de Polícia Técnica (DPT) da região.
