A cidade de Ponta Grossa sediará, nos dias 5 e 6 de abril, a etapa de abertura do Campeonato Brasileiro de Motocross 2025. As provas ocorrerão na pista oficial do Município, localizada no Centro Agropecuário – a mesma que no ano passado recebeu a grande final do campeonato nacional.
O evento é realizado pela Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa, em parceria com a Secretaria Municipal de Esportes e a Confederação Brasileira de Motocross (CBM). A expectativa é de que aproximadamente 500 pilotos de 19 países participem da etapa inaugural da competição. A entrada será mediante a doação de 2 kg de alimento não perecível por dia de evento.
O Campeonato Brasileiro de Motocross é considerado o maior da América Latina e o terceiro maior do mundo na modalidade. Em 2024, a etapa realizada em Ponta Grossa reuniu mais de 40 mil espectadores e arrecadou 11 toneladas de alimentos, que foram destinados à Fundação de Assistência Social de Ponta Grossa.
