Na manhã de segunda-feira (24), um caminhão carregado com carne tombou na BR-376, em Mauá da Serra, região Norte do estado. O acidente resultou na morte do motorista, horas depois, em um hospital.
O acidente, ocorrido no km 308 da rodovia, mobilizou diversas equipes de resgate, incluindo o helicóptero do SAMU, Corpo de Bombeiros e Departamento de Estradas de Rodagem (DER). A situação foi na região da Serra do Cadeado, no sentido Curitiba da rodovia
Segundo informações da Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF), o motorista ficou preso nas ferragens e foi necessário o uso de equipamento especializado para retirá-lo. A vítima, identificada como Daniel Garcia Silva, de Carambeí, foi imediatamente encaminhada para um hospital em Londrina, onde infelizmente não resistiu aos ferimentos.
Daniel, conhecido como Egner, residia em Ponta Grossa há algum tempo. Até o momento, não há informações sobre o velório e sepultamento do rapaz, que não teve a idade revelada até o momento.
