A Secretaria Estadual de Saúde do Paraná informou nesta sexta-feira (01) a confirmação de cinco casos de infecção por Febre Oropouche no estado. Três pacientes são residentes do Paraná, enquanto os outros dois são oriundos do Acre e Amazonas, regiões da Amazônia. A Febre Oropouche é uma doença causada por um arbovírus e não possui tratamento específico.
Os sintomas da Febre Oropouche são semelhantes aos da dengue, incluindo febre, dor de cabeça, dor nas costas e nas articulações. Também podem ocorrer tontura, dor atrás dos olhos, erupções cutâneas, náuseas e vômitos. O tratamento se concentra em aliviar os sintomas, sendo comumente prescritos analgésicos e antitérmicos. A doença geralmente dura de dois a sete dias, podendo em casos graves resultar em encefalite.
A transmissão da Febre Oropouche ocorre por meio da picada de mosquitos, especialmente do Culicoides paraensis, conhecido como maruim, que se reproduz em ambientes úmidos como mangues, lagos e rios. Embora típico de áreas tropicais, os mosquitos também podem se adaptar a ambientes urbanos, tornando-se vetores da doença.
Surtos da Febre Oropouche são registrados na região amazônica desde a década de 1970. Recentemente, houve um aumento da transmissão no Amazonas, levando a um alerta epidemiológico. No estado, foram confirmados 1.674 casos da doença, com 995 casos registrados apenas em 2023. Outros estados da região, como Acre e Rondônia, também enfrentam surtos da doença.
