Conforme informações repassadas pelo Batalhão da Polícia Militar, um homem suspeito foi abordado pela equipe da Polícia Militar e após a abordagem foi constatado que o mesmo estava sem os seus documentos, após a abordagem o homem tentou atacar a equipe da PM com duas facas e acabou baleado e morto no local.
A PM realizava um patrulhamento de rotina quando desconfiou de um indivíduo que pedalava tranquilamente pelas ruas do bairro. Após a abordagem da equipe, o homem, a princípio, parou e desceu da bicicleta tranquilamente.
Contudo, quando os policiais se aproximaram para realizar o procedimento da revista, o suspeito tentou atacá-los com duas facas. Em resposta à tentativa do ataque, um dos policiais sacou sua arma e disparou duas vezes contra o suspeito, com isso detendo o ataque de fúria do homem.
A equipe do 4°Batalhão da PM que realizou a abordagem acionou o socorro médico após efetuar os disparos, porém, o homem não resistiu aos ferimentos e veio a óbito no local. O local foi isolado e as equipes das Polícias Civil e Científica foram acionadas.
O corpo do homem foi coletado pelo Instituto Médico Legal (IML). A Corregedoria da Polícia Militar acompanha o caso.
