A Polícia Federal deflagrou nesta quarta-feira (3) a Operação Private Key para desarticular um grupo acusado de realizar fraude cibernética contra a Caixa Econômica Federal e a prefeitura de Telêmaco Borba, no Paraná.
A operação mobilizou mais de 30 policiais em Brasília, Águas Lindas de Goiás (GO) e Santa Luzia (MG), cumprindo quatro mandados de prisão, 11 de busca e apreensão, além de outros mandados relacionados a sequestro, arresto e bloqueio de bens, totalizando 51 medidas cautelares. Também foram emitidos 9 mandados de sequestro de criptoativos.
Segundo informações da PF, os suspeitos teriam utilizado métodos avançados de hackeamento para criar um site falso, visando roubar credenciais. Com essas informações em mãos, conseguiram acessar o sistema GovConta da prefeitura de Telêmaco Borba, utilizando o perfil clonado do servidor para se passar por ele em um aplicativo de mensagens.
Caso sejam condenados, os envolvidos podem enfrentar penas de até 30 anos de prisão pelos crimes de furto qualificado mediante fraude, invasão de dispositivo informático, lavagem de capitais e participação em organização criminosa.
Os criminosos entraram em contato com o gerente da Caixa, obtendo autorização para transferir valores para empresas fictícias, apresentando-as como fornecedoras da prefeitura. De acordo com a PF, mais de R$ 6 milhões foram desviados, distribuídos em contas de laranjas e convertidos em criptomoedas, dificultando sua rastreabilidade, porém, em nota, a Prefeitura de Telêmaco Borba informou que o valor desviado era de R$ 3.169.651,87, e não os R$ 6 milhões divulgados:
“A Prefeitura Municipal de Telêmaco Borba informa que no dia 28 de abril de 2020, houve uma invasão ao sistema ‘GovConta’ da Caixa Econômica Federal, onde foram desviados R$ 3.169.651,87, e não os R$ 6 milhões divulgados. A Caixa Econômica Federal reconheceu a fraude e restituiu o valor integral no dia 30 de junho de 2020, sem causar prejuízos para o município.
Quanto ao processo e investigações, ele segue em andamento. Caso haja valores de restituição, serão realizados para a Caixa Econômica Federal.
A Prefeitura Municipal aproveita para parabenizar a Polícia Federal pelo belo trabalho desenvolvido”.
