Nas imagens aparecem o VW/GOL transitava em alta velocidade por via municipal, transversal, quando no entroncamento do km4,2 da BR153, na tentativa de acessar a rodovia, perdeu o controle da direção e saiu do leito carroçável da pista, terminando por descer o desnível do talude e chocar-se contra um barranco.
No acidente o passageiro, masculino, 56, veio a óbito no local, seu corpo foi encaminhado ao Instituto Médico Legal (IML) de Ponta Grossa. O condutor teve ferimentos graves e foi encaminhado por socorristas do Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu) ao Hospital em Imbituva e depois foi transferido para Santa Casa de Irati.
