Este tipo de pagamento já existe, no caso seria o débito automático, mas segundo o Banco Central o Pix automático tem a capacidade de alcançar mais clientes.
Na questão das empresas, elas não necessitarão firmar um contrato com cada instituição financeira, somente basta um acordo com o banco que estará ofertando a modalidade às empresas.

Para pessoas físicas o Pix automático não terá cobrança de tarifa
– Como vai funcionar?
A pessoa diz à empresa que deseja pagar com Pix automático. Aí a empresa envia a proposta de Pix automático ao cliente. Após isso, a pessoa receberá uma notificação para confirmar autorização de pagamento via Pix Automático.
Mas pode ocorrer de outra maneira. No caso a empresa envia fatura do mês com a opção de pagamento Pix automático e o cliente paga a conta conta via QR Code e confirma se quer continuar com o Pix Automático.
