O Banco Central (BC) lançou hoje (11), a moeda comemorativa de prata, com valor de face de R$ 5,00. Em comemoração aos 200 anos da primeira Constituição. A cerimônia aconteceu no Salão Nobre do Congresso Nacional.
“Com o lançamento desta moeda, o BC homenageia o Poder Legislativo, celebrando o bicentenário da primeira Constituição, que deu origem à Câmara dos Deputados e ao Senado”, afirmou o Rodrigo Teixeira, diretor de Administração.
O anverso (frente) da moeda apresenta o livro da primeira Constituição brasileira aberto com suas páginas retratadas em cor sépia, que representa a passagem do tempo. A pena estilizada e o texto manuscrito remetem à forma como o livro, há 200 anos, foi redigido. Essa é a primeira vez que o recurso da cor é utilizado em uma moeda de prata no Brasil.
O reverso (parte de trás) mostra o prédio do Congresso Nacional, símbolo do Poder Legislativo. O conjunto arquitetônico do Congresso, composto por duas cúpulas, uma voltada para cima e outra para baixo, representa o Poder Legislativo bicameral, modelo proposto já na primeira Carta Magna do Brasil, com as duas Câmaras, de deputados e de senadores, que formavam a Assembleia Geral.
