O documento fala em pelo menos 70 mil cristãos presos por professarem a fé cristã. Entre os cristãos que vivem clandestinamente naquele país, a estimativa é entre 200 mil e 400 mil.
Há 21 anos a Coreia do Norte ocupa a primeira posição na Lista Mundial da Perseguição que é organizada pela missão Portas Abertas.
Em 2022, os níveis de pressão e violência no país foram os mais altos de todos os tempos.
