O remédio foi aprovado pela Anvisa em 2022 e será distribuído nas 22 Regionais de Saúde do estado. O custo unitário do spray é de R$ 859,92, mas os pacientes poderão acessá-lo gratuitamente. Para solicitar, é necessário apresentar documentos, como laudo médico e prescrição de um neurologista.
Os pacientes que não responderem ao tratamento com pelo menos 20% de melhora nas escalas de avaliação dentro de seis semanas terão o acompanhamento suspenso. O monitoramento será repetido semestralmente para verificar a eficácia contínua do medicamento.
