A Polícia Federal desarticulou uma organização criminosa que agenciou a ida ilegal de 669 pessoas aos Estados Unidos, via México. De acordo com a PF, a Operação Siblings tem como foco um grupo liderado por uma família em Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais. O esquema teria envolvido 1,5 mil pessoas, alguns menores de idade.
A organização criminosa contava, segundo a PF, com núcleos especializados na captação de migrantes, na compra de passagens aéreas, na reserva de hotéis, na falsificação de documentos públicos e na criação de contas bancárias em nome de terceiros.
Ao todo, 14 mandados de busca e apreensão foram cumpridos em Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo e no Distrito Federal, na quarta-feira (26), além de 11 medidas cautelares e bloqueio de contas bancárias em valores que podem chegar a R$ 43 milhões.
De acordo com os investigadores, em muitos casos o contrabando de migrantes tem relações com redes que também praticam tráfico de pessoas, entre outras atividades ilícitas.
Se condenados, os envolvidos poderão responder pelos crimes de participação em organização criminosa, promoção de migração ilegal, envio irregular de crianças ou adolescentes para o exterior, falsificação de documentos públicos e uso de documentos falsificados.
Como denunciar
A PF informa que existe um canal destinado a denúncias anônimas. Por meio do Disque 100 é possível informar às autoridades sobre situações de violações de direitos humanos, de crianças e de adolescentes.
Denúncias sobre violações contra mulheres e meninas o canal é o Ligue 180.
