Jair Messias Bolsonaro que teve o passaporte apreendido pela Polícia Federal pediu a devolução do passaporte temporariamente para poder ir ver a posse de Donald Trump como presidente dos EUA.
O ministro Alexandre de Moraes, relator do caso, vai decidir se autoriza ou não a viagem, porém a Procuradoria-geral da República (PGR) se manifestou contra a devolução.
A cerimônia de Trump está marcada para a próxima segunda-feira (20), em Washington. Os advogados de Bolsonaro pediram uma devolução temporária do documento. Se autorizado, ele estaria fora do país entre 17 e 22 de janeiro.
Na manifestação, o procurador-geral da República, Paulo Gonet, defendeu que não há interesse público na viagem aos EUA, e disse que “não exerce função que confira status de representação oficial do Brasil à sua presença na cerimônia oficial nos Estados Unidos”, destacou Gonet.
Paulo Gonet afirma que Bolsonaro não apresentou “fundamento especial” que motive suspensão da medida cautelar.
Pedido da defesa
Ao Supremo, os advogados de Bolsonaro disseram que a posse de Trump “consiste em evento de notória magnitude política e simbólica e o convite para comparecer à sua cerimônia encontra-se carregado de significados”.
No sábado (11), Moraes determinou que a defesa comprovasse que Bolsonaro foi convidado oficialmente para assistir a posse.
