O Corpo de Bombeiros (2º GB) prestou atendimento ao acidente às 12h38. O condutor, de 47 anos, do automóvel Volvo S70 T5 prata, com placas de Curitiba, saiu ileso. Ele foi submetido ao teste etilométrico e não aferiu consumo de álcool.
Já o condutor da moto Honda CG 125 Fan Ks vermelha, com placas de Palmeira, morreu no local da colisão. O corpo de Valdir do Nascimento, de 59 anos, foi trazido ao Instituto Médico-Legal (IML) de Ponta Grossa.
O acidente provocou lentidão na pista. A Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) e a concessionária Via Araucária, que administra o trecho pedagiado, sinalizaram e orientaram o tráfego, que foi liberado às 15h22.
